Dr. Harry Smith
Harry is the Research Director at Carbon Balance Initiative. Harry recently completed his PhD in the governance of carbon dioxide removal methods at the University of East Anglia and Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. Prior to his PhD, Harry was a consultant on international climate projects, managing the reporting of greenhouse gas emissions to the United Nations and revisions to legislation governing industrial emissions in the European Union. Harry holds a master’s degree in environmental management and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He currently lives and works in Cornwall, in the southwest of the UK.
He’s happiest when he is drinking a top-quality flat white, reading a good book, or out running along the coast in the southwest.
Harry’s current nerdy topic in net zero: cement decarbonisation.
